About Me
Here is a little info about me:
This is for anyone who is interested in what I am, what I am doing, or what I have done.
I LOVE old movies (especially ones with Cary Grant in them).
I love all kinds of music - oldies, heavy metal, SOME rap-very few selections, classical, musicals, R&B, Christian, you get the picure.
I had changed my major 4 times from Nursing to Biology to Pre-Chiropractic to Teaching. As you can see, I love the sciences and I love math as well! I really do love teaching! Only other teachers can understand why.
I have been a teacher for 6 years and I love kids. However, I now have ventured into a new career of interest which is computers. I have taken a course called Introduction to computer and programming. I have experimented with Visual Logic and Visual Basic. I enjoy Visual Basic better because it is more of the list sequence instead of a web structure.
I have worked in many numerous jobs which have all helped me to reach where I am right now (whether I liked the job or not). Here are some of the jobs that I have experienced:
Tastee Freeze, McDonalds, Dentist office, dish washer at a restaurant and college, home health aid to an alzheimer's patient, a toll booth collector, a foam factory worker, and teaching at Dayspring Academy for 6 years. In reguards to teaching I have been a teacher's aid, substituted, have taught computer, PE, and 2nd grade - so you see I have had a variety of experiences. I was also a data entry operator for half a year until they could find a full time replacement which is very different but also rewarding. Once you get in the school system, it is hard to get out of it.
I am now working for a Christian website hosting company called OurChurch.Com as their customer support representative. I help people place orders for their websites as well as help them create the website with the program we offer.
I was diagnosed with PCOS when I was younger, but didn't really know what that meant until we were trying for our second child in July of 2013. The doctor told me that I wasn't able to digest sugars and it was making my body unbalanced. It made sense when I remembered that I went on the No Flour, No Sugar diet after my cat Simba passed away and was how I was able to coneceive our first son. So, I researched Insulin Resistance recipes and found that the Paleo diet was an easier way of eating to cut out the flours and sugars in order to conceive our second child. It took 4 months of eating better (no flour and no sugar) and I was pregnant - no medications. For others out there with PCOS, my doctor has said that she has never had an issue getting a PCOS patient pregnant, so there is hope, but you have to work at it by eating healthier and maybe get on some medications.
I am now starting to research about Essential Oils. If you would like to purchase oils from me, please email me. I LOVE to learn new things! I cannot go through life doing the same old thing every day. Knowledge is power and there is so much knowledge to obtain. I would also like to learn how to play the violin, how to fix cars - or at least know what is wrong when it makes that funny noise, cook, and fly a plane.
I have a 4 year old boy and a 1 year old boy, so I am on my toes. I am a cat lover, and our family just adopted a turbie colored cat (pictured on the right) in October of 2015. In the picture below (left) is Simba who had 6 toes on all four paws and was 10 years old. I raise him from a kitten and he needed to be put down to a blood clot that paralized his back legs. Stiches who is also in the picture was 17 years old who was named after a stray called Patches. Stiches had to be put down in Nov. of 2006 because of old age and failing health.
